Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my study-abroad-blog. I've wanted to spend a semester in Italy for about four years (since Masterpieces class in high school), and I found a program through the University of Georgia. It's based in Cortona, a small town in Tuscany (you can see the website here). But here's a brief overview:

There are about fifty art students in the program, and we meet in Rome on February 1st. For a week we travel around Rome and Florence going to museums and historical sights, then we head to Cortona (about an hour away from Florence). The semester lasts until late April, and each Saturday we take a day trip to a different town to study more art. We end the program in Venice on April 29th. But I'm not coming home just then! I'll hang out in Venice until Sam arrives on May 2nd, and we'll spend two weeks traveling around Europe to Munich, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, and Geneva.

I still can't believe I'm getting to do all of this! I'm so grateful to my parents for making it happen : ).

Ok, I promise to try to keep this blog less rambly than would be my instinct.
